Come view the works of Hérold Alvares, a Haitian artist born without arms due to a congenital birth defect. At the age of eight, Hérold started painting as a student at the St. Vincent School for the Disabled in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Since that time, he has produced several art pieces for Haitian Parliament as well as private collections. Hérold has represented the Association of Artists and Painters of foot and mouth in Switzerland and Mexico and he is the winner of the Henri Deschamps Award and Symbolic Peasant Contest.
